Jim Corbett National Park, one of India’s oldest and most celebrated wildlife reserves, spreads across more than 1,200 square kilometres in the foothills of the Himalayas. Named after the legendary conservationist Jim Corbett, the park is home to a rich diversity of wildlife including the majestic Bengal tiger, Asian elephants, leopards, and hundreds of bird species. Established in 1936 as India’s first national park, it later became a key part of the Project Tiger in 1973.
