Arrive at Dimapur Airport where assistance can be arranged if required. Begin your journey towards Jakhama.

En route visit the historic Kohima War Cemetery, dedicated to soldiers of the Battle of Kohima. Continue to the peaceful Mary Help of Christians Cathedral, one of the largest churches in Northeast India.

Arrive at your retreat in Jakhama and spend the evening at leisure enjoying the tranquil mountain surroundings.

Overnight: Jakhama

After breakfast, proceed for an excursion into the scenic district of Phek District.

Visit the traditional village of Zapami, home to the Chakhesang tribe. Enjoy a guided exploration of tribal culture including traditional governance systems, morungs (youth dormitories), village architecture, and local handicrafts.

Return to Jakhama in the evening.

After breakfast, begin a trek to the stunning Dzukou Valley, often called the “Valley of Flowers of the Northeast.”

The trek takes approximately 3.5 hours (1 hour steep ascent followed by 2 hours moderate trail). Explore vast meadows, seasonal wildflowers, orchids, and pristine mountain streams.

Depending on preference and weather conditions, enjoy optional overnight camping under the stars in the valley or return to Jakhama.

Overnight: Jakhama / Dzukou Valley Camp

After breakfast, visit the historic Angami village of Khonoma, known as Asia’s first Green Village and a former stronghold of Angami warriors.

Continue to the scenic valley of Dzuleke for a peaceful riverside picnic lunch. Enjoy a gentle nature walk through lush forests rich in biodiversity.

Return to Jakhama in the evening.

After breakfast, visit the Naga Heritage Village at Kisama, the cultural venue of the famous Hornbill Festival held every December.

In the afternoon, enjoy a guided heritage walk through Jakhama village, interacting with locals and learning about Angami traditions.

End the day with a paddy field picnic, featuring live cooking and authentic Angami BBQ.
