Along with its vibrant birdlife, the forests and streams around Pangot are home to wildlife such as leopards, Himalayan palm civets, barking deer, ghorals, and the yellow-throated marten, making it a unique destination for nature lovers.

Arrive at Haldwani, Pantnagar, or Kathgodam where assistance can be arranged if required. Drive through scenic mountain roads to the charming hamlet of Pangot (approximately 2 hours).

Upon arrival, check in to your hotel or homestay and spend the afternoon relaxing. In the evening, take a leisurely walk around the village and enjoy the peaceful Himalayan surroundings.

After breakfast, drive to the popular hill station of Nainital. Visit the serene Naini Lake and the sacred Naina Devi Temple.

Later enjoy panoramic views from Snow View Point and explore the bustling Mall Road for local shopping and cafés. A relaxing boat ride on Naini Lake can also be enjoyed.

Return to Pangot by evening and relax.

After breakfast, spend the morning experiencing village life in Pangot. Interact with locals and learn about traditional farming practices and mountain lifestyles.

Later embark on a guided nature walk through the forests and scenic trails surrounding Pangot, known for their rich biodiversity and birdlife.

Return to your accommodation in the evening and enjoy the peaceful surroundings.

After an early breakfast, set out on a guided birding excursion in the forests around Pangot and the Naina Devi Bird Reserve. With a bit of luck, you may spot species such as the Himalayan Griffon, Blue-winged Minla, and the colourful Khalij Pheasant.

Later return to your accommodation, check out, and drive back to Haldwani, Pantnagar, or Kathgodam for your onward journey.
