Dagdiya (meaning a friend) is an initiative to moblise youth & empower women in Uttarakhand. launched on the auspicious occasion of 70th Republic Day (26 Jan 2019). Dagdiya aspires to partner the youth & women in their endeavors towards alleviating the standards of Health, Hygiene, Sanitation & Education in their villages. By creating innovative opportunities of revenue generation, encouraging locals to till their ancestral lands & establishing market linkages thereby enabling the right price for their produce; Dagdiya is encouraging the youth & women to take control of their own destiny, be the drivers and stakeholders in development of their own ecosystems & eventually reap the social & economic benefits of their toil. Above all Dagdiya aspires to make the people of Devbhoomi Uttarakhand proud of their Land, rich Traditions & Cultural Heritage.
